September is a guys month.... with events in baseball, football, golf, tennis and NASCAR.....and just so we don't leave anyone out, NBA training camps begin in late September too.
.....did I mention Big Brother will crown the winner in September, and a new season of Survivor will begin....not to mention the Amazing Race. Yep, a lot of great things happen in September......
My birthday is of course at the top of the September list (though the build up climaxes the 24th! If you are worried about getting me the correct size, I can squeeze into a $50 but the $100 bills are a more comfortable fit.......
September still has a taste of summer.....but the mornings remind you fall is just around the corner....reinforced by pumpkin flavored everything popping up on menus all around town.
Another reason to love September is as it begins the St. Louis Cardinals still have a chance....and the Dallas Cowboys have yet to lose a game...... (October most likely will suck for fans of both teams)
What is your favorite month? Why?
My country boy upbringing reminds me that September brings in Dove season, deer for the archery boys and my personal favorite bullfrogs.... Now that I think about it, I haven't had frog legs in years..... the other white meat, I don't think any kind of meat is more tender than the hind legs of a bullfrog properly seasoned and prepared......
