Dad was 49 years old when I was born, he had seen a lot, lived a lot and thus felt fully qualified to share his opinion.....on everything!
I wish I could remember everything he tried to teach me.... but like most young people (and too many old folks too) I wasn't always receptive of his words of advice.....
One of his wisdom statements came after I had gotten injured after not listening to his advice..... "......son if you can't listen, you are going to have to feel....." The bottom line of his advice is we are all ultimately responsible for our actions......
The Lindsay Clancy story is no different. She killed her children, and for that act she should pay. The only item up for debate should be whether she gets a needle or spends the rest of her life in prison.
Was she mentally ill? Who cares.... Those 3 children are dead and for that a price needs to be paid. Do I think she was mentally ill? Yes, she was clearly batshit crazy, or maybe she is just evil, either way when she killed her children she gave up any and all rights to freedom and in my opinion life.
At what age do we learning killing another person is wrong? Since Cain killed Abel we have known it was wrong....
When I was a little boy a couple of times each year we drove pass an abandoned home no one would live in. The home was located on state highway 51, just north of the Patton Sale barn, and served as a reminder that good people can do bad things.
Many people tried to live in the home, but all gave up after hearing strange noises and the feeling of evil. Eventually the home was torn down, with only rock steps remaining to tell the world the home existed.
Every time we drove by that place dad would tell me the story, it was the ole Davenport place. A farmer facing hard times picked up a hammer and began killing his family as they slept......
Oliver Davenport and Lindsay Clancy share a common theme, they killed their children, both evil, but thus far only Davenport paid for his sins..... Lindsay it's now your turn.

James Oliver Davenport was born in 1892, he married Clara Fulbright and had 7 children. When Oliver snapped he managed to kill 5 of his children, with his wife (1900-1982) and 2 of the children surviving the attack and living until the 2000's.
If you look up the place of the murder today, it's ironic that Google earth shows a dark stain where the family's yard once stood...... It is funny how America has changed since 1932, you see back then everyone realized Oliver Davenport was crazy, but no one questioned if he should be given a pass.....even himself as he ended his own life.
How is it that in nearly 100 years much of America has gone for feeling the loss of a child.....to feeling sorry for a murderer?
Lindsay Clancy should be convicted of murder, period, the Gates of Hell are just waiting for her to enter! It seems 11 jury members disagree with me, how about you?
